Berkley Associates sprl is a dynamic Brussels based consultancy, formed in 1987, specialized in the development and management of projects financed by the European Union. Our company provides a full range of project management services from the initial design and development of the project, including the search for partners, to its  implementation and final delivery to the EU and the verification of the project’s accounts by the EU auditors.

Our principal mission is to help all types of organizations, including commercial and non-profit, navigate successfully through the EU bureaucracy and take full advantage of the business and financing opportunities offered by the EU Commission. We are well qualified to fulfill this mission as the company has an extensive background in developing projects across a wide range of EU policy sectors including: Innovation and Small Business Development; Research and Development; Education and Training.

Our working methods involve providing our clients with up to-date information on the major EU funding programmes, as well as the Commission’s thinking behind them. In addition, we provide expertise, guidance and examples of best practice in implementing projects under these programmes. We believe that we can provide a unique insight into the way in which the Commission expects these projects to be organized and managed. The owner/manager of the company is John Stringer, a British Barrister, with over 20 years of experience of dealing with the European commission on funding and project implementation issues, many of these spent as a special advisor to EU programme implementation units.
